As part of the Milwaukee 14 Today, 50 Year Celebration on Monday morning, people will gather 12th and Wisconsin Avenue. The triangular park at North Plankington and Wells Streets, the site of the original Milwaukee 14 action, is relatively inaccessible. The theme will be both a commemoration of the Vietnam war protest and the original draft file burning but also a pledge to work against the seven USA wars today and the ways military recruitment infiltrates our educational institutions from middle school through college.
